It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Ryker, May 6, 2007 at age 14 to heart failure. He was competing right up until he died. He completed his Rally Novice Title with a third place January of 2007. His last trial was two weeks before his heart gave out, he was competing in Advanced.

On Sept. 8, 2002, Ryker finished his UKC Agility I title.  He obtained his title in 3 straight shows with scores of 200, 200 and 192 (out of 200).

Ryker is owned and handled by Karen Peak of West Wind Dog Training located in Northern, VA. Karen is Cynthia Webster's oldest daughter.

Ryker finished his Canadian Champion title in 1997 in two weekend clusters and a Best of Breed under Mr. Lester Mapes (also an AKC judge) at the Club Canin de L'Estrie Dog Show, St. Hyacinthe, Que., in the Spring of 1997. He also holds an American Companion Dog title, a Canine Good Citizen certification is AKC and UKC Ch. pointed. Ryker is also a retired Therapy Dog and does Agility.  As of May of 2002, he has one NAJ leg and has his UKC AGI title (agility). Ryker is now 13 and was fully retired.

At 13 1/2, Ryker came out of retirement and has started competing in Rally.  He obtained his first and third legs through the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater Baltimore Rally trials with third place Sheltie at each show.  He finished his RN just shy of his 14th birthday.

Ryker, his littermate, "Cody," were homebred by Cynthia Webster, Will O'Wisp Shetland Sheepdogs.
